Sade Adelaja is a competent, business focused, commercial HR professional and has carried out projects for a variety of matrix, international and global organizations, including the design and implementation of various Operating Business Models; the design and implementation of various business Balanced Scorecards and, end to end competency based recruitment. With a thorough understanding of the development process of UK employment legislation; EU Directives; ILO employment recommendations; and how these are transposed into UK law, Sade works with various organisations on drafting HR Policies and Procedures; designs and facilitates global training on employment policy. She is also well versed in Nigerian Labour Law.
Sade has worked in Human Resources in various permanent and interim roles for organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors, in the UK, including BP plc where she worked as Human Resources Compliance Manager (UK) and later as Employee Relations Specialist, within the Group Business Centre. She has also worked here in Nigeria in permanent and consultancy assignments in a number of organisations which include the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, First Bank of Nigeria, the Hilton International Hotel Abuja, KOTS Nigeria Ltd (Hospitality and Catering) and in her own industrial cleaning business.

Employee relations, HR Audits, Strategic HR Management, Recruiting and staffing issues, Employment policy development, Management coaching, Organisational design, Trade union negotiations, Diversity Management, Supplier Diversity Management, Job Evaluations, Employee development, designing competency frameworks, Talent Management & Succession Planning, plus Benefits administration.

Sade was a member of the CIPD UK Recruitment Steering Committee and, on the Branch Management Committee and took on the dual roles of Continuous Professional Adviser and Publicity Officer. Until 2007 she was also a trustee of the charity Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities (UK) and spent much of her time working on various strategic and operational projects for groups as well as speaking at conferences and on live television. She is a member of the City Women’s Network in the UK.
She has various professional and academic qualifications including an MSc in Industrial Relations from the University of Strathclyde as well as a Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from Cornell University.
