Mrs. Ani is a Human Resources Management and Training Consultant with over 25 years of core HR experience (16 of these at the Senior Management level in the large corporate private sector). She qualified as a lawyer with a degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982. Ibiai worked first in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in the Rivers State Ministry of Justice and subsequently in the International and Comparative Law Department of the Federal Ministry of Justice before she joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC).

She gained extensive experience at Shell, moving through a range of HR roles (Recruitment, Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Manpower Planning and Development, Policy Development and Employee Relations as well as Change Facilitation and HR Project Management). After 12 years with the company, she left to join Citibank Nigeria – a subsidiary of Citigroup as the Country Head of Human Resources covering Nigeria and overseeing the Rep office in Ghana. She remained with Citibank 4-and-a-half years.

In June 2004 she incorporated The Daisy Management Centre Ltd. And currently manages and oversees the activities of the Centre. She regularly runs training programmes and has anchored many seminars and workshops. Ibiai is a seasoned HR Professional and assists companies with structuring their HR departments to ensure that business strategy is achieved. An accredited Team Trainer, she is an Executive Coach, a certified Customer Service Online Tutor and is currently working on obtaining the Award in Customer Service Strategy (ACSS).

Ibiai sat on the Board of First Bank of Nigeria plc as a non-Executive Director from 2008 to early 2014, and is the Chairperson on the Board of In-Sourcing Ltd – a company that handles recruitment outsourcing. She is also a Director on the Board of Bestman Games Ltd. and was a member on the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) from 2009 to 2013. In addition she is a Trustee on the Board of The Play Pen (a Child Development Centre) and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Port-Harcourt Literary Society as well as a member of the Editorial Board of the Institute of Directors.

Ibiai is an avid reader; she plays the piano, enjoys swimming and travelling, and loves transforming interiors.
